What: Restaurant, North American

Where: Vancouver, BC

Where can you find an ‘as good as Vegas’ steakhouse that serves decadent aburi sushi and an extraordinary wine list—only in Vancouver. Parq Vancouver, that is. On the sixth floor of The Douglas hotel, inside Parq Vancouver’s new eat, stay, play complex by BC Place, The Victor, a swanky North American surf-and-turf restaurant, is a clear triumph.

The 180-seater restaurant is brimming with the well heeled: a mix of suits, millennials dipped in fur, and more of the city’s finest. And whether you’re into to the crowd or not—they give the place a real buzz.

Not that the food and drink can’t stand on its own. First, the service is impeccable: the wait staff’s in-depth knowledge of the menu indicates that this is a well-oiled machine. Second, there’s melt-in-your-mouth wagyu steak (among others), a raw bar with a selection fit for a king, as well as an extensive local wine list. Where can you go wrong?

The above is supplemented by the fact that The Victor houses one of Canada’s largest Enomatics, a wine preservation system for bottles of wine served from the glass, so you can sip on that vintage days after the bottle is opened.

It’s a win-win combination of ambiance and food for you and your client.
