In celebration of Global Running Day, the Canadian workout gear brand is promoting mindfulness in exercise and in everyday life with their campaign, “Let Your Mind Run Free.” Their activewear line embraces these ideas with lightweight materials and nearly seamless garments. The ultra-comfortable workout wear maximizes mobility, like the fast and free leggings made with sweat-wicking, light-as-air Nulux™ fabric.

On Wednesday, June 6 all across the world, runners are banding together to celebrate the day. In Toronto, lululemon is hosting a social run at Love Child Social Club. In keeping with the theme, lululemon is hosting an open guided meditation followed by a 5K and followed by refreshments to rehydrate and refuel after the run.

The entire collection of tops, bottoms, accessories and bras follows the same minimalist ideals. It covers all the basics of running but with small upgrades which make it easier for people to let their minds run free. Many of the pieces have storage spaces and pockets for the essentials so runners can take their mind off of where to put their keys and focus on running.

In addition to the line, lululemon also created and 8-week 10K running guide and a 14-week half marathon guide complete with easy-to-follow goals for each day of the week. In the 10K guide, Mondays and Wednesdays are dedicated to meditation, to ensure the mind stays sharp while the body stays fit. For more casual runners, the lululemon site offers guided meditations and yoga classes from brand ambassadors like Faith Hunter.

Lululemon has also joined forces with Strava, a mobile app that tracks running routes around the city, and the Global Free Run Club, so runners around the world can enjoy brand-approved routes in places like Toronto, Montreal, Tokyo and London. Look out for routes labelled #letyourmindrunfree for the best spots in each city to let the mind wander while running. And tune into the brand’s Spotify playlists for an added motivational kick.
