Loft conversions have made their way to the Niagara region.
One of Port Dalhousie’s most revered landmarks, an iconic building filled with old world charm, is getting a luxury makeover.
“There is an undeniable mystique within these heritage walls that is about to be unveiled at last,” says Sheldon D. Rosen, President, Port Dalhousie Harbour Club. The existing 1900s era factory first housed Maple Leaf Rubber Co. until Lincoln Fabrics assumed ownership in 1955 and operated until 2017.
“In the heart of the Niagara Peninsula, famed for its wineries, art, culture and nature, the Harbour Club offers the discerning purchaser an unparalleled combination of refined, one-of-a-kind waterside living,” says Carmen Campagnaro, Valour Capital/Pro Funds Mortgages, Burlington.
And the interest is palpable. So far, thousands of people have registered online and hundreds are showing serious interest in purchasing units.
“There’s been unprecedented interest in this loft conversion project, which is something that has never been done before in Niagara. It’s easily apparent people understand the unique nature of this waterfront project,” says Kim Kunselman, Sales Representative, Royal LePage.
The residences have a relaxed and casual but still luxury look, with reflective of the boating lifestyle, featuring sail cloth ceilings that offer a contemporary club-like atmosphere steeped in nautical tradition.
Units range in price from $500 thousand to $1.5 million, with an average size of approximately 1200 square feet.
