One game, one city, one love. What started as ‘Drake Night’ has evolved to the Welcome Toronto program.
Welcome Toronto is a partnership between the Toronto Raptors and OVO that supports a commitment to art, community and basketball.
Fans will have a chance to watch the Rap’s trade in their traditional red and whites for their 2018-19 white and gold OVO City Edition threads at Welcome Toronto-themed home games this season. The special-edition jerseys are available for purchase at Real Sports Apparel.
Elements within the game and outside of the court will reflect themes such as art, fashion and music.
Inspired by the jerseys, the court on Welcome Toronto nights draws on the black and gold OVO colour scheme with a two-toned hardwood and black chevron design.
The Raptors and OVO partnerships extends past shiny new uniforms and custom courts. Under the program, OVO and theRaptors will donate $1 million to refurbish local community basketball courts and another $2 million to Canada Basketball.
They recently completed four community courts in Toronto, and will pick four more to refurbish each year over the next two years.
