Mission Critical Live: Omi Woods Founder Ashley Alexis McFarlane Talks Jewelry, Heritage, and Sustainability
In the latest edition of GLORY Media’s Mission Critical: The Bold Conversations live podcast series, Editor-in-Chief Lance Chung welcomed Ashley Alexis McFarlane, founder of contemporary jewelry brand, Omi Woods.
Presented by Veuve Clicquot, the evening welcomed over 50 guests with a glass of champagne for the initial mingling and networking portion of the event. A dynamic group of entrepreneurs, creative leaders, and C-suite executives were in attendance at the event, which took place at the stylish Pinterest headquarters in downtown Toronto.
Prior to the interview, Chung shared some key messaging around the new Veuve Clicquot BOLD Open Database, the first free, global open database which lists and gives visibility to women entrepreneurs globally. He also shared why Pinterest was a great venue partner, their commitment to innovation, mental health, and diversity as key factors.
During the live podcast, McFarlane spoke about the brand’s connection and commitment to ethically-sourced African gold, creating jewelry that can be passed down through generations as heirlooms, and the stories that are uncovered and created through jewelry.
