Jennifer Toroisan collaboration evocative of automakers’ commitment to local fashion industry
For the past three decades, Lexus has been known for its commitment to sophistication and elegance. Known for similar things, 31-year-old designer Jennifer Torosian is already making huge strides in Toronto’s bustling fashion industry.
So, it seems like a natural fit that the two would go together. On the eve of the 2018 Toronto International Auto Show, it appears that this has come to light.
Inspired by the sleek designs from its feature vehicles, Torosian has designed a streamlined, bold new capsule collection that will be worn by representatives of the Japanese carmaker at the Lexus booth at the event.
“Brave Design is a core value of the Lexus brand, and we are honoured to be supporting Canadian talent by spotlighting one of Canada’s rising fashion design stars,” says Jennifer Barron, director of Lexus Canada.
A total of six looks will be sported at the Lexus booth. They retain the style and elegance that lexus is known as well as Torosians incredible talent.
“Collaborating on this project has been a great opportunity for us to showcase our modern sensibilities and design an exclusive capsule collection for the Lexus brand,” says Torosian, whom first debuted her clothing at Toronto international Fashion week in 2016 “We drew inspiration from many stunning Lexus vehicle designs and combined those aspects with our aesthetic to create a collection that is sophisticated and contemporary.”
Italian fabric is definitely on display with the hem dress for the ladies. The beautiful black dress features slim cut lines, and an added sense of contemporary sensibility, with cut out details around the neckline and contrast topstitching accentuating the hemline completing the look.
The female pants suit features a modern, business casual look.
The men’s suit features a slick look. The suit is made from the finest tailoring, complete of 100% water repellent material.
Thrilled at this opportunity, Torosian knows that the Lexus collaboration may be the first of many. But is dedicated to high quality nonetheless
