WHEN IT COMES TO DESIGNING SNEAKERS FOR WOMEN, THE APPROACH OF MOST SNEAKER BRANDS OVER THE YEARS HAS BEEN ‘SHRINK IT, PINK IT’.
Time’s up on that out of touch sentiment.
As a part of the Jordan Season of Her collection for spring 2018, they have designed and re-released a series of classic styles that they have described as a design that, “embodies the Jordan mindset.”
To show the versatility of the Season of Her collection, stylist Aleali May put together a shoot that illustrates the range of this collection. Describing her vision behind her styling, she explains, “I wanted to show how many different ways there are to style the Air Jordan 1 – you can dress it up or down, with light or dark colors and still represent strength and style”.
The first drop of this collection is a refresh of the shoe that changed the world of sneakers: the Air Jordan 1. This Season of Her launch includes 10 new colorways that punctuate both the Jumpman logo on the tongue and the original (and rarely used) Air Jordan logo on the ankle. The feel and the look is durable and luxurious, combining satin fabrics and suede touches.
