Forty Creek Whisky Looks to the Future While Staying True to Its Roots

Forty Creek Whisky Looks to the Future While Staying True to Its Roots
Niagara region is not only known for its falls – it is also the proud home of Canada’s very own Forty Creek Whisky, produced for the last 22 years in Grimsby, Ontario.   While staying true to the brand’s roots and keeping its award-winning whisky taste – Forty Creek is excited to release a new refreshed look that honours the same great-tasting liquid Canadians know and love. The new design on Forty Creek Barrel Select started rolling out on shelves earlier this year with the remainder of the bottles coming to shelves by the end of the year.   Through Forty Creek’s new packaging, the brand highlights its “award-winning taste” alongside the brand’s “Whisky Maker of the Decade” designation from Canadian Whisky Awards and the signature of its master blender, Bill Ashburn. Bottle of Forty Creek Whisky sits on a rock in front of a lake. This year, Bill Ashburn celebrates his 35th anniversary as Master Blender and to commemorate this achievement, Forty Creek is releasing a new special-edition whisky, “Art of the Blend,” to celebrate this milestone.   RELATED: InVintory Founders Jeff and Josh Daiter Merge Technology and Wine   The “Art of the Blend” whisky captures the brand’s local Niagara Region roots with its exquisite flavour. Through the mastering of wine and whisky making, this limited-edition whisky is infused with grapes harvested during the cold Niagara winters to create a perfect blend of gentle fruity aroma, which quickly reveals hints of brown sugar mixed with toffee and oak notes.   With an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 45 percent and priced at $89.95, the “Art of the Blend” limited release will be available starting September 2022.   Not only is Forty Creek coming out with a new limited-edition whisky to celebrate the new brand look, but come September, you’ll be able to see the making of this esteemed whisky for yourself by attending  Forty Creek’s Whisky Weekend.   From September 24-25, Forty Creek’s distillery is opening its doors to host this annual celebration. Attendees will be invited to enjoy a weekend of tours, tastings, seminars, and many more activities that provide a complete whisky immersion experience. For fans of the brand or those exploring the world of whisky for the first time, the weekend is a rare opportunity to hear live from speakers passionate about the history and the future of Forty Creek. Additional information on Bill Ashburn’s “Art of the Blend” limited edition and this year’s Whisky Weekend is available on Forty Creek’s website and social pages.
