Earlier this week, GLORY Media hosted its annual Women of the Year celebration. It was an evening that brought together a powerhouse room of women leaders reshaping the future of sports, business, tech, culture, and beyond. Held at Dia restaurant inside the Canopy by Hilton Toronto Yorkville, the event blended sharp conversation, elevated hospitality, and a palpable sense of momentum around women’s leadership in Canada.

The night opened with a live podcast recording of Cinderella Stories (part of the GLORY Podcast Network) featuring guest of honour and cover star Teresa Resch, President of the Toronto Tempo. Moderated by Ashley Docking and Savannah Hamilton, the conversation dove into Resch’s journey building Toronto’s new women’s pro basketball franchise, the rise of women’s sports, and what it means to lead with purpose during a pivotal moment for Canadian athletics.

Another Women of the Year honouree, Reetu Gupta, Ambassadress of The Gupta Group, electrified the room with a surprise announcement: she is joining the Toronto Tempo’s ownership group. Her impassioned remarks—celebrating women, sport, and generational change—set the tone for a night defined by trailblazers.

Guests were welcomed with curated wine pours from Pasqua, and encouraged to explore timepieces on display from Bulova, which captured the moment in the brand’s photobooth. At the bar, a lineup of partner beverages—including John Sleeman & Sons, Tequila Tromba, willöe gin, Good Sunday, and Sobrii’s non-alcoholic cocktails—kept the energy high and the conversations flowing.

As the night unfolded, founders, executives, athletes, and creatives forged new connections and celebrated the impact of women leaders driving Canadian culture forward. Before heading out, guests received gift bags featuring a complimentary copy of GLORY’s Women of the Year magazine issue and wellness gifts from Olly, including their signature sleep and beauty vitamins.

A celebration of leadership, community, and the bright future of women’s sports and business in Canada, the 2025 Women of the Year event reaffirmed GLORY Media’s commitment to elevating the voices shaping what comes next.
