Over 1,250 pro athletes, young professionals and SickKids supporters made their way over to the Toronto Event Centre and succeeded in raising $100,000 for congenital heart disease research at SickKids Hospital this past week.
Hosted by beloved voice of the
Raptors Jack Armstrong, the gala featured performances by the Reklaws and Matisse of Keys N Krates. Alongside a luxury silent auction, interactive
Tito's cocktail bar and surprise dance performances throughout the evening, the spectacular event spotlighted 9-year-old SickKids patient ambassador Liam Bleach and his inspiring story of overcoming a congenital heart defect.
The audience was enraptured as his story, one that included multiple open-heart surgeries before his third birthday, played out on screen, and broke into applause as he and his family were gifted an all-expenses-paid vacation to Mexico courtesy of redtag.ca and Palace Resorts.

star-studded sports-themed gala included Stuart and Jenna Walker, Matisse, Astrid Loch, Kevin Wendt, Luke Gazdic, Ben Thomas, and Dylan Sadowy.
